Kellyn Murphy
I am currently a sophomore studying Sports Media and minoring in Sports Marketing and Management at Indiana University. I’ve had the privilege of working at Indiana University Student Television Sports. I am currently a part of the cross-country beat. I am also a part of the Indiana Daily Student Newspaper on the sports desk with a beat in women’s tennis. I am in the Story Lab II class, where I create packages, write stories, and learn the different types of media production. I’ve taken Sports, Media and Society, Big 10+ Producing, Sport Marketing and Management, Sport Communication, and a Music in Multimedia class where I learned to film and edit videos. I took yearbook in high school, where I took photos, wrote stories, interviewed students and staff, and created spreads.

I work on the sports desk and write stories that highlight athletes, teams, and key moments. I am part of the women's tennis beat.
I wrote a Golf recap for the team when the Indiana men’s golf team participated in the Highlands Invitational, and the women's team competed at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational
I wrote a recap of the Indiana women’s tennis team hosting the Hoosier Classic.
I wrote a recap of the Indiana women’s tennis team when they played in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship
I wrote a feature story about the Women’s Ice Hockey team at IU moving from being a club team to now being in the ACHA Division II. I researched the team and program before I interviewed the players and the coach. I asked about how the program started and what they did to get to this point.
